“Most Client-focused Financial Recruitment Advocate 2023” – this was quite an award to win in the SME Magazine Finance Awardsbut winning isn’t everything. The true joy comes from advocating for others – it is there that we truly make a difference, but how do we really make this work?

We believe in the power of advocacy!

Years later, people remember most how you made them feel – it’s not just about what you did for them, but importantly it’s how you listened and how they felt supported and heard Imagine us as your ultimate cheerleaders and supporters… now, there is an image! For us, it is all about empowering others, lending a helping hand and creating great experiences whilst thriving in making positive impact in the lives of people who we work with

Listening to Understand:

Visualise having a cup of tea and just having a relaxed chat. By allowing space for you to truly feel comfortable in being open, we can really take the time to dig deep and see the underlying things that we can support you with

Being an advocate for us starts with closely listening to what you say and what you don’t say and then gently probing on this. We want to understand the challenges and experiences you face without judgment

This also relates to clients’ recruitment needs as much as people considering their career move. The depth of understanding means that matches can be made that feel seamless to the client – as we’ve taken the time to know what you need and how to represent this well to the person who we believe would most like this role and best fits this

The same goes for IFA firms who are selling and buying IFA client banks – if we take the time to understand the needs of both sides, understand the needs of the client bank, we can help match to best cultural fit for both parties and create the best outcomes

All Business is Personal:

We believe that all business is personal, as at the end of the day it boils to relationships and how these are nurtured and developed. Taking the time to listen, is truly key to understanding others. Most things in life fall down due to poor communication and to create great relationships we put ourselves someone else’s shoes and see things from their perspective. Looking at things from someone else’s perspective is a common ethos within our team at Truestar Talent

Positivity breeds more positivity!

We find great joy in promoting for others (which we hope shows in everything that we do) – it is why we do this job and is a big part of who we are as people. We always champion people we believe in Winning the award: “Most Client-focused Financial Recruitment Advocate 2023” was very meaningful to us. We have a great many lovely testimonials that people have kindly about how we have helped them. The fact that people have taking the time to write these, means the world to us! We love to help and advocate and its amazing to have this recognised!

Being named nationally as true advocates here at Truestar Talent and also our specialist division Truestar Legacy is huge as it’s great to be seen that we are very aligned in our values and in how we work. Advocacy for others comes naturally to us and is an intrinsic part of what we do every day!
